The Soldier's Medal and the Purple Heart has been awarded to Sergeant Cairntrodlie for his selfless actions during the Battle of Carentan. Although critically wounded, Sergeant Cairntrodlie took charge of his squad and completed the mission after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds and significant burns. Sergeant Cairntrodlie's actions led the allies to victory within the area of operation.

Private Kaan Africa.
The Silver Star has been awarded to Private Kaan Africa for his meritorious acts during battle. Despite his entire squad being killed in action during an intense ambush by enemy forces, Private Africa overcame the odds and single-handedly took out an entire enemy squad consisting of 5 battle-hardened Fallschirmjägers near a farmhouse south of the town of Carentan. His courageous actions and mastered skills using the Springfield M1903 rifle (unscoped), secured an overall victory for the allied forces within the area of operation.

Congratulations all, what an intense fight all round. But if it wasn't for Pvt. Africa's actions the outcome would have been very different, it's a very rare sight to see a Private earn what has been, so far the highest award attained within the unit and it is very much well deserved!
